Poor Luca Pisaroni had to look like the cop from Village People in this production of Cosi fan tutte from Paris. However, he sings beautifully with soprano Rinat Shaham in this rehearsal video. One year ago we posted pictures of Luca Pisaroni sporting a different and more buff look in a production of Hercules.

ReplyDeleteLuca Pisaroni was GREAT in the Glyndebourne 2006 production. "Il core vi dono" made my heart palpitate. He even made "Non siate ritrosi" more than just a funny aria. His sound is excellent across the entire range. I wish we had some clips from the Santa Fe Nozze with him and Mariusz from a few years back.
ReplyDeleteI just heard him in the Paris Bastille production of Nozze...He is the perfect Figaro...the voice is beautifully produced and as an singing actor...he is the real material..The Met can certainly use him....listen Mr Gelb!!!!! DWkELSO
