Dall'Amico in Early Verdi

Here is Luca Dall'Amico singing Banquo's aria"Come dal ciel precipita" from Verdi's Macbeth during a concert performance. The Italian barihunk can currently be heard in I Lombardi, another early Verdi opera, at the Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata, Italy.

  1. I'm in opera administration and haven't heard of Luca. He should be better known. He has a wonderful presence and a nice voice. I think that you've showcased him in the right repertory for his voice. Not quite dark and rich enough for the "big" Verdi baritone roles yet. Your site is incredibly informative. I was afraid that it was going to be something else, but you've kept up a high standard that is up there with the best opera sites.
