Three Russians Go Neapolitan

Hvorostovsky, Gorin & Magomayev

We thought that we'd have a little fun today to celebrate the first days of Spring. Here are three Russian baritones singing the classic Neapolitan song "Torna a Sorriento" in three very different renditions.

Dmitri Hvorostovsky

Igor Gorin from 1937

Muslim Magomayev

  1. Dmitri can sing anything he wants!!!!I'll listen! He is a dream(baritone, hunk) come true.In all the years I've going and listening to opera I never saw anyone like him!!My wife thinks I have a crush on him,crazy.....!

  2. Dmitri is great as always, he is my most favourite singer maybe. But i was surprised how well Igor Gorin sounded.definitely a pleasant discovery for me.
