Mariusz Kwiecien - Onegin's aria - Eugene Onegin 2008

Here is the Hot Pole Mariusz Kwiecien singing "Kogda bï zhizn domashnim krugom" from Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin. Tatiana has poured out her heart to Onegin in a letter. He in turn tells her that he only loves her as a brother and she is heart broken.

Poor Tatiana!

Barihunk and Hunkentenor together on CD

One of Barihunks most loyal readers sent these pictures of Mariusz Kwiecien who we both have a mad crush on (despite our relationship status!). The pictures reminded me that the grossly underrecoreded Hot Pole sings the duet "Venti scudi" from Donizetti's L'Elisir d'amore with the adorable tenor Juan Diego Florez on the latter's new CD.

Mikolaj Zalasinski

Polish barichunk Mikolaj Zalasinski seems to enjoy singing in various stages of undress. Above are photos of him as Jokanaan in Salome in his Depends and in his birthday suit as Don Giovanni. The latter role has become his calling card role and he's sung it in Vienna, Tokyo, Warsow, Lodz, Bytom, and Bydgoszcz. Other barichunk roles include Escamillo and Papageno.
